As part of Selfridges transformational sustainability initiative, Project Earth, the retailer launches RESELLFRIDGES – a permanent in-store and online Resale platform to provide new ways to shop (and sell) pre-loved, vintage, collectable and archive products, in collaboration with 20+ brand partners including Dukes Cupboard, Craig Green, Kidswear Collective, Susan Caplan, Levi’s, Barbour.
Through Project Earth, Selfridges is committed to embedding circularity into the business with new services across Repair, Rental and Resale models. RESELLFRIDGES combines Selfridges sustainability commitments with a fashion experience that is seamless, fun and considered – giving access to rare and unusual products across price point and era, with a unique Selfridges point of view.
The launch of RESELLFRIDGES will include brands across Selfridges fashion, kidswear and lifestyle categories – from vintage Danish and French ceramics chosen by Essome through to AW18 pieces from Craig Green’s own archive. Additionally, The Selfridges Corner Shop will be a launchpad for RESELLFRIDGES, inviting ten independent resellers to the store’s flagship creative retail space over six weeks.
The ten sellers include shopkeepers, designers, collectors and stylists, each with a different specialism and style. Each seller will have the unique opportunity to set up shop and sell their wares to Selfridges customers, at Oxford Street’s busiest corner.
Visitors to the Corner Shop will also find and an evolving edit of pre-loved Accessories, chosen by Selfridges own Director of Accessories, Eleanor Robinson, keeping the overall Selfridges buy in mind.
For the week of launch, The Corner Shop will be welcoming Queen of Shebay, the cult Ebay store run by Lucy Help, who sources one-off designer archive pieces from some of the world’s biggest luxury brands. Stylist and vintage enthusiast Karen Clarkson has curated a special edit from her Portobello Road store Found & Vision. Meanwhile Col8, whose expertise lie in sourcing iconic pieces from the 90’s and early 2000’s, will be bringing an impressive edit of vintage Prada Linea Rossa to The Corner Shop. Nikita Sarkas will be presenting their streetwear staples and unique vintage pieces, representing a range of British, American and Japanese brands, while No Entry are showcasing vintage jewellery.
Across the six weeks The Corner Shop will also be home to edits by Not Applicable Vintage, Dukes Cupboard, One Scoop Store, Rarewear, Thrifty Towel Vintage and Returning Queen.
Resellfridges will continue evolve and adapt in line with the season, with new Resellers and products joining the roster.
