SWEET MEETS SAVOURY THIS EASTER

This Easter, Selfridges has collaborated with cult Spanish crisp brand Torres to unveil the ultimate sweet-and-salty treat: Selfridges Selection Torres Crisp Egg (£12.99): a silky milk chocolate shell flecked with golden crisps.
Torres is known for its bold gourmet flavours, from black truffle and fried egg to Iberian ham. It’s a firm favourite of Selfridges customers, with sales +15% on last year. Now, for the first time, the crunchy Mediterranean salt crisps have been fused into smooth chocolate, bringing together two of the nation’s favourites in an indulgent Easter egg.
The egg is created exclusively for Selfridges by Chocolarder in Cornwall using rich milk chocolate made with cocoa from Ghana. Chocolarder is one of the UK’s few small-batch chocolate producers, importing and roasting raw cacao beans and making chocolate on site.
The egg comes presented in gold foil and custom-made Torres box.
Lucy Menendez, Director of Food & Restaurants at Selfridges, comments: “We’re always thinking about the next exciting innovation that we can bring to the Foodhall. The Torres egg feels unexpected, but the salty-sweet combination is much loved – a personal favourite! The smooth milk chocolate studded with delicious crisp crumb delivers on both taste and texture. It’s such a fun addition to our Easter egg collection and we’re excited for customers to try it.”
The Selfridges Easter collection also includes The Great Egg, The Great Pistachio Egg (launching end of February), The Malt Ball Salted Caramel Egg, The Malt Ball Blonde Egg and The Hot Cross Bun Bar, available in store and online at Selfridges.com.
